Space Requirements

Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, 15ft x 10ft area, Height clearance: 10 feet. Allow for at least 2 feet of clearance on all sides of stored pallets.

Storage Conditions: Dry storage is required. The area should be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Avoid direct sunlight exposure to minimize potential UV degradation of the foam.

Special Handling: Polyethylene foam is generally a fragile material. Pallet wrap or protective padding is recommended for individual rolls or sheets to prevent damage during handling and stacking. Consider using corner protectors on pallets.

Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is the most efficient method. Utilize 48” high shelving units with adjustable levels to maximize vertical space. Stacking should be limited to a maximum of three pallets high for stability and ease of access.

Access Requirements: A standard 12ft wide loading dock is required for truck access. Dock door width should be at least 10 feet. A clear aisle space of 10 feet is needed between rows of pallets for forklift maneuvering. Ensure sufficient overhead door clearance of at least 10 feet to accommodate forklift operation.
