Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, 15ft x 10ft area, Height clearance: 10 feet. A dedicated storage aisle of at least 5 feet wide is required alongside the storage area.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Items should be stored on pallets to minimize direct contact with the floor. Avoid storing plugs in areas exposed to direct sunlight or significant drafts.
Special Handling: All plugs are considered potentially fragile. Each plug should be individually wrapped in protective bubble wrap or similar cushioning material. Pallet loads should not exceed 50 lbs to prevent damage during handling. Clearly label all pallets with the quantity and type of plugs contained.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is the recommended method. Shelving is optional but can be utilized for organization. If shelving is used, ensure it is sturdy and can support a maximum load of 200 lbs per shelf. Consider using interlocking plastic pallets for stability.
Access Requirements: Loading dock needs a minimum width of 12 feet. A single loading dock door, 10 feet wide and 10 feet high, is required. A clearance space of 8 feet adjacent to the loading dock door is necessary for forklift maneuverability. A secondary access door, 6 feet wide and 8 feet high, should also be available.
