Rubber Bands

Secure Your Rubber Bands: Warehouse Storage Solutions.

Storing rubber bands within a robust warehouse environment offers significant advantages for businesses requiring reliable inventory management. Warehousing provides a stable and secure space, ideal for protecting the integrity of this delicate product. Rubber bands, due to their elastic nature, are particularly vulnerable to compression and damage if subjected to fluctuating pressures. A well-organized warehouse layout, utilizing gravity racking or pallet racking, minimizes the need for frequent handling, drastically reducing the risk of stretching or breakage. Strategic stacking, with wider bases and stable support, is crucial – consider utilizing banded pallets for added reinforcement. Dedicated storage areas, clearly marked and with sufficient space, prevent congestion and accidental contact. Furthermore, a warehouse’s inherent security features – controlled access and inventory tracking – ensure product safety and accountability. The consistent, protected environment of a warehouse optimizes storage efficiency and minimizes potential losses, making it the perfect location for rubber band inventory, supporting consistent supply chain operations.

Space Requirements

  • Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 80 square feet, 10ft x 8ft area. Height clearance: 10 feet.
  • Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area should be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation and maintain air quality. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
  • Special Handling: Rubber bands are generally durable but benefit from protective padding, especially for bulk quantities. Utilize cardboard inserts or bubble wrap to prevent surface damage during stacking. Consider using corner protectors on larger bundles.
  • Stacking/Shelving: Shelving units with adjustable shelves are recommended. Max stacking height: 5 shelves, with each shelf supporting a maximum of 50 lbs. Pallet storage (48” x 36” pallets) is also acceptable, with a maximum pallet height of 5 feet.
  • Access Requirements: Loading dock: 12ft wide x 10ft long. Door width: 8 feet. A clearance of 3 feet is needed on each side of the storage area for forklift access. Utilize a standard pallet jack for easy movement within the 8ft width. Ensure adequate aisle space for equipment maneuverability.
