Secure Polymer Storage: Preserve Quality, Maximize Value.
Storing polymer materials within a strategically designed warehouse offers significant advantages for maintaining product integrity and operational efficiency. Polymer materials, renowned for their versatility, benefit greatly from the organized, secure environment a warehouse provides. Proper racking systems, utilizing methods like pallet racking or bulk storage, are essential for maximizing space utilization and facilitating efficient retrieval. Careful consideration must be given to material flow – grouping similar polymers together to minimize handling and potential contamination. It’s crucial to implement a robust First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory system, ensuring older stock is utilized first to reduce the risk of degradation due to extended storage. Warehouses provide a protected space, safeguarding materials from direct sunlight and potential physical damage. Furthermore, the inherent stability of a warehouse environment, coupled with clear labeling and designated storage zones, contributes to enhanced traceability and accurate stock management. This structured approach ultimately translates to reduced material waste, improved order fulfillment, and a streamlined supply chain for your polymer needs.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 sq ft, 20ft x 10ft area, Height clearance: 10 feet. A secondary area of 50 sq ft (10ft x 5ft) dedicated to receiving and inspection is recommended.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation and maintain air quality. Storage should be on a level, stable floor.
Special Handling: Most polymer materials are relatively durable, but some may be susceptible to scratching or abrasion. All items should be stored with adequate padding – foam blocks or cardboard – to prevent damage during handling. Fragile items, like thin films, require extra protection.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is ideal, utilizing standard 48” high pallets. Shelving units with adjustable shelves are acceptable for smaller quantities, ensuring shelves are no more than 5 shelves high. Stacking height should not exceed 4 pallets.
Access Requirements: A loading dock with a 12ft wide x 12ft deep bay is necessary for truck access. The main warehouse door should be at least 10ft wide for easy access. A minimum clearance of 3ft around each pallet or shelving unit is required for forklift operation.

Polymer materials – like resins, adhesives, and specialized plastics – benefit significantly from the robust organization offered by cubework storage. Its sturdy construction provides excellent protection against accidental impacts and shifting, crucial for maintaining the integrity of these sensitive materials. Cubework’s modular design is exceptionally versatile, allowing you to tailor the storage solution precisely to your inventory needs. You can easily adjust shelf heights and configurations to accommodate various sizes and shapes of containers. This flexibility ensures optimal space utilization and prevents wasted space. Furthermore, the individual cubbies create a clear, accessible system, simplifying retrieval and reducing the risk of misplaced items. Cubework’s adaptable layout perfectly matches the diverse storage requirements of polymer materials, promoting efficient workflow and organization.
