Secure Dry Fiberboard Storage: Protect, Preserve, Profit.
Dry Fiberboard is exceptionally well-suited for long-term storage within a robust warehouse environment, offering significant advantages for businesses managing inventory. Its inherent stability and resistance to warping, cracking, or swelling make it a remarkably durable material, minimizing the risk of damage during storage. Warehouses provide a secure, dry, and level environment – critical factors for maintaining the board’s structural integrity. Proper stacking practices, utilizing pallets and ensuring adequate spacing between boards, will further enhance stability and prevent compression. Utilizing strong, durable pallets is essential for maximizing storage density. The large, open spaces within a warehouse allow for efficient movement and retrieval, streamlining logistics and reducing handling costs. Furthermore, the consistent support provided by the warehouse structure contributes to the board’s inherent rigidity, preserving its shape and minimizing the potential for damage from shifting loads. Strategic pallet placement and regular inspection are key to ensuring optimal long-term storage performance.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, or a 10ft x 15ft area. Height clearance: 12 feet is recommended for easy access.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area should be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. Keep the area free from debris and potential sources of moisture.
Special Handling: Dry Fiberboard is a fragile material. It should be handled with care to prevent damage. Pallet wrapping or protective padding is strongly advised for each piece to minimize potential surface abrasions. Consider using corner protectors on stacked items.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is suitable, utilizing 48” high shelving units. Max stack height should be limited to 3 pallets to prevent excessive weight on lower levels. Shelving units should be sturdy and capable of supporting the weight of stacked Fiberboard.
Access Requirements: A standard 12ft x 10ft loading dock is required for delivery trucks. Dock door width should be at least 10 feet. A clear access aisle of 8 feet should be maintained around the storage area for forklift operation. The door opening should have a minimum clearance of 10 feet.
