Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet or a 12ft x 12.5ft area. Height clearance: 12 feet. This allows for approximately 50-75 rolls of standard 6” diameter felt liners.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is required. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Storage should be on a level floor, free from debris and obstructions. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
Special Handling: Felt liners are considered a fragile item. Each roll should be protected with padding – bubble wrap or cardboard – during storage and handling. Palletizing is recommended to minimize direct contact with the floor.
Stacking/Shelving: Items can be stacked to a maximum height of 8 feet. Pallet racking is ideal, utilizing 48” wide pallets. Alternatively, sturdy shelving units with adjustable shelves are acceptable, ensuring shelves are rated to support the weight of stacked rolls.
Access Requirements: A standard 10ft wide loading dock is needed for easy access. The receiving door should be a minimum of 9ft wide with a clear opening of at least 8ft. A minimum of 10ft of clearance space is required around each pallet or shelving unit for forklift operation.
