    • Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Ensure the floor is level and clean to avoid damage to the chairs. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.

    • Special Handling: Patient examination chairs are generally considered fragile. Each chair should be padded with moving blankets or foam padding to protect the upholstery and frame during storage and retrieval. Mark all chairs with “Fragile – Examination Chair” labels.

    • Stacking/Shelving: Chairs can be stacked to a maximum of 3 units high, utilizing a pallet system. Pallets should be 48” x 40” to accommodate chair dimensions. Adjustable shelving is recommended to maximize vertical space.

    • Access Requirements: A loading dock with a minimum width of 12 feet is required for easy access. The warehouse door should be at least 9 feet wide for forklift maneuverability. A clear aisle space of 10 feet is needed between storage areas for equipment access. A minimum of 8ft clearance at the loading dock is necessary.
