Safe & Secure Refrigerant Line Storage – Maximize Efficiency.
Refrigerant lines represent a vital component across numerous industries, and strategically storing them within a robust warehouse facility offers significant advantages. Proper warehousing ensures the longevity and integrity of these lines, protecting them from physical damage and potential degradation. Warehouse spaces are designed for bulk storage, providing ample room for organized racking systems – crucial for efficient retrieval and minimizing handling. Utilizing sturdy shelving and designated zones based on line type and size maximizes space and facilitates easy access. Regular inspections are paramount to identify any signs of damage, leaks, or corrosion, allowing for proactive maintenance and preventing costly issues. Warehouse storage also provides enhanced security, safeguarding against theft and unauthorized access. The inherent stability of a well-managed warehouse environment, coupled with organized inventory management systems, drastically reduces the risk of damage and maintains the operational readiness of your refrigerant lines. This robust storage solution supports a reliable supply chain and contributes to the overall efficiency of your business operations.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, 20ft x 7.5ft area, Height clearance: 10 feet. A dedicated aisle space of 5 feet wide is required alongside the storage area.
Storage Conditions: The storage area must be dry and well-ventilated. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. The floor should be level and capable of supporting the weight of the refrigerant lines.
Special Handling: Refrigerant lines are considered fragile items. All lines must be individually padded with foam or bubble wrap to prevent damage during storage. Securely strap lines to pallets to prevent shifting.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is recommended, utilizing standard 48” high pallets. Shelving units with adjustable shelves are acceptable, allowing for vertical space utilization. Ensure shelving is robust enough to handle the weight.
Access Requirements: A loading dock with a minimum width of 12 feet is required for truck access. The loading dock door should be at least 10 feet wide with a clear opening of 9 feet. A minimum clearance of 8 feet is needed at the loading dock for maneuvering. A single door, 8 feet wide, should be located on the opposite side of the storage area for personnel access.
