Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, 15ft x 10ft area. Height clearance: 10 feet. This allows for a pallet rack system.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is required. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation and maintain a stable environment. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
Special Handling: Window units are considered fragile. Each window should be individually wrapped in protective padding – bubble wrap or foam sheeting – to prevent damage during handling. Pallet wrapping is highly recommended.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is ideal, utilizing 48” high pallet racking. Shelving units with adjustable shelves are also acceptable, spaced no more than 36” apart. Stacking height should not exceed 4 pallets.
Access Requirements: Loading dock needs a minimum 12ft wide x 12ft deep bay for truck access. The warehouse door should be at least 9ft wide for easy access. A clearance of 3ft on either side of the pallet racking is necessary for forklift maneuverability. Ensure adequate aisle space of 10ft for equipment movement.
