Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, 20ft x 7.5ft area. Height clearance: 10 feet. This allows for a 10ft x 15ft area for optimal maneuvering.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area should be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. Flooring should be level and stable to prevent damage during handling.
Special Handling: Soapstone countertops are susceptible to scratching and chipping. Each piece requires a minimum of 4 inches of padding on all sides and top. Pallet wrap is mandatory. Handle with care, supporting the entire piece when moving.
Stacking/Shelving: Items can be stored on pallets, with a 24" clearance between pallets for access. Shelving is not recommended due to the weight and fragility of the countertops. Pallet height should not exceed 48 inches.
Access Requirements: Loading dock should be 12ft wide and 16ft long. Door width: 10 feet. A clearance of 8 feet is needed at the loading dock for forklift access. Forklift operation is required for moving the countertops. Ensure sufficient aisle space (minimum 8ft) for movement.
