    Space Requirements

    • Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, or a 10ft x 15ft rectangular area. Height clearance: 9 feet is recommended.

    • Storage Conditions: This storage area should be dry and well-ventilated. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. The floor should be level and capable of supporting the weight of stored items. Regular visual inspections for dust and debris are necessary.

    • Special Handling: Most kitchen utensil organizers are durable, but some may contain delicate components. Items requiring special handling include silicone molds and wooden utensils – these should be individually wrapped in protective padding like bubble wrap or foam. Larger organizers should be placed on a sturdy pallet.

    • Stacking/Shelving: Shelving units with adjustable height capabilities are ideal. Shelves should be spaced no more than 24 inches apart to allow for easy access. Pallet storage is an option for bulkier organizers, utilizing a standard 48” x 40” pallet. Stackable organizers can be placed directly on shelves.

    • Access Requirements: A loading dock with a minimum width of 12 feet is required. The door should be at least 8 feet wide for easy access. A clearance space of 6 feet around each shelving unit is recommended for forklift operation. A ramp with a 15-degree incline is preferred.
