Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, 20ft x 7.5ft area. Height clearance: 12 feet. Allow for a 3ft access aisle around each crane.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage, located in a well-ventilated area to minimize dust accumulation. The storage area should be free from direct sunlight and significant vibrations. Ensure the floor is level and capable of supporting the weight of the cranes.
Special Handling: Cranes are considered fragile items. Each crane must be individually wrapped in protective foam padding, secured with heavy-duty shrink wrap. A minimum of 2 inches of protective cushioning material should be used around the base of each crane.
Stacking/Shelving: Cranes should be stored on pallets with 4-inch high pallet racking. Shelving is discouraged due to the weight and potential instability. Pallet height should not exceed 8 feet to maintain adequate aisle access.
Access Requirements: Loading dock with a 12ft wide x 12ft deep bay. Dock door width: 10ft. A minimum clearance of 10 feet is required between the loading dock and any storage racks. Forklift access is necessary for unloading and loading.
