Storage Conditions: The storage area should be a dry, well-ventilated space. Sufficient airflow is crucial to prevent mildew or discoloration. The floor should be level and made of a durable, easy-to-clean material, such as concrete or epoxy.
Special Handling: Stain colors are considered fragile. All containers should be individually padded with bubble wrap or foam inserts. Heavy containers should be stored on pallets to minimize stress on the packaging. Avoid dropping or jarring containers.
Stacking/Shelving: Shelving units with adjustable heights are recommended. Shelves should be designed to support at least 500 lbs per square foot. Pallet storage is also an option, utilizing 48” high pallets. Ensure adequate aisle space between shelves or pallets for easy access.
Access Requirements: A standard 12ft wide loading dock is needed for truck access. The dock door should be a minimum of 10ft wide with a clear opening of at least 10ft. A 3ft clearance space is required adjacent to the loading dock for forklift operation.
