Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 square feet, or an area of 15 feet x 13.3 feet. Height clearance: 10 feet. This allows for a reasonable quantity of outlets to be stored.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is required. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Avoid direct sunlight exposure. The floor should be level and clean.
Special Handling: Electric outlets are considered fragile items and should be individually wrapped in protective bubble wrap or foam padding. Each outlet should be secured with a cardboard box to prevent movement during storage and retrieval. Handle with care to avoid physical damage.
Stacking/Shelving: Outlets can be stored on standard pallet racks with 48” high shelves. Alternatively, they can be stacked in organized rows on a level floor, with minimal stacking height of 3 feet to ensure accessibility. Pallet storage is permissible with appropriate bracing.
Access Requirements: A standard 12-foot wide loading dock is required for easy access. The receiving dock door should be at least 10 feet wide. A clearance of 8 feet is needed at the dock to allow for forklift maneuverability. A secondary access door, 6 feet wide, should also be available.
