Secure Pressure Pad Storage: Protect, Preserve, Ship.
Storing pressure pads within a well-managed warehouse environment offers significant advantages for durability and accessibility. Warehouse storage provides a stable, protected space crucial for maintaining the integrity of these sensitive products. Pressure pads should be stacked strategically, utilizing pallet racking systems to maximize vertical space and ensure efficient retrieval. Prioritize placing heavier pads on lower levels and lighter ones on higher tiers to prevent damage from shifting loads. Proper shelving and racking systems are essential for minimizing stress and potential deformation of the pads' support surfaces. Regular inspections are key – checking for any signs of compression or damage during routine stock rotation. Utilizing designated storage zones based on pad type and size is highly recommended. A warehouse’s inherent organization and accessibility facilitate rapid order fulfillment, reducing handling time and potential for product wear. Furthermore, a warehouse’s controlled environment, with its stable floor surfaces and consistent support, contributes to the longevity of the pads, ensuring they remain ready for immediate use and delivering consistent performance.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet or a 10ft x 15ft area. Height clearance: 12 feet is recommended to accommodate stacking.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is required. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. Ensure the floor is level and clean to prevent damage to the pressure pads. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
Special Handling: Pressure pads are considered fragile items. Each unit should be stored on a protective layer, such as a cardboard sheet or foam padding, to prevent scratches or dents during handling and storage. Palletize units for easier movement and to minimize direct contact with the floor.
Stacking/Shelving: Pressure pads can be stored in pallet formations, utilizing standard 48”x40” pallets. Shelving units with adjustable shelves, spaced 48” apart, are suitable for stacking. A maximum of 3-4 layers of pads should be stacked, depending on the pad size and weight.
Access Requirements: A standard 12ft wide loading dock is needed for truck access. The receiving dock door should be at least 10ft wide with a minimum clearance of 6ft 8” for maneuvering. Forklift access is essential for moving pallets. Ensure adequate aisle space of at least 8ft between storage locations.
