Protect Your Liners: Secure Warehouse Storage Solutions
Fluoroelastomer liners represent a vital component in numerous industrial applications, and proper warehouse storage is key to maintaining their integrity and extending their lifespan. Dedicated warehouse spaces provide a secure and stable environment, optimizing product protection against potential damage. Utilizing sturdy shelving systems and pallets ensures efficient product stacking, maximizing storage density without compromising structural integrity. It’s crucial to store liners on a level surface, away from direct sunlight and potential sources of physical impact. Regular inspections are paramount to identify any signs of damage – including compression or surface abrasion – allowing for timely corrective action. A well-organized warehouse layout, coupled with clear labeling and inventory management, facilitates rapid retrieval and minimizes handling. Furthermore, a secure warehouse setting reduces the risk of theft or unauthorized access, safeguarding your investment. Warehouse storage offers a practical and reliable solution for maintaining the quality and usability of these critical components, supporting long-term operational efficiency.
Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, 15ft x 10ft area, Height clearance: 10 feet. A dedicated area of at least 8ft x 6ft per roll is recommended.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is essential. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent the buildup of any potential fumes. Storage should be on a level, stable floor. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
Special Handling: Fluoroelastomer liners are considered fragile. Each roll should be individually padded with protective foam or bubble wrap to prevent damage during handling and stacking. Avoid dropping or dragging rolls. Protect from abrasion.
Stacking/Shelving: Rolls can be stacked to a maximum of 3 rolls high. Light-duty shelving units (capable of supporting at least 500 lbs per shelf) are recommended. Pallet storage is acceptable if shelves are used. Pallets should be constructed of wood or metal.
Access Requirements: A loading dock with a 12ft wide access door is required. A clearance of 10ft is needed on either side of the access door. Forklifts with a load capacity of 500 lbs are necessary for moving rolls. Ensure adequate aisle space (minimum 8ft) for equipment maneuverability. The door should be a minimum of 8ft 6in wide.
