Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 square feet, 15ft x 13ft area, Height clearance: 12 feet. This allows for flexible storage solutions and accommodates standard pallet sizes.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage is required. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent moisture buildup and potential damage to goods. The floor should be level and clean.
Special Handling: All items should be individually wrapped with protective padding to prevent scratches and damage during handling. Fragile items necessitate extra padding and careful placement. Items susceptible to dust or abrasion should be covered.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is recommended, utilizing standard 48” wide pallets. Shelving units with adjustable shelves are suitable for smaller items. Maximum stacking height should be limited to 5 shelves, no more than 4 feet per shelf.
Access Requirements: Loading dock needs a minimum width of 12 feet. Door width should be a standard 96 inches (8 feet). A clearance space of 8 feet is required at the loading dock to allow for maneuvering forklifts and pallet jacks. A secondary access door, 60 inches wide, is recommended for smaller deliveries.
