Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 200 sq ft, 20ft x 10ft area, Height clearance: 12 feet. Allow for 4ft of aisle space on each side of the storage area.
Storage Conditions: Dry storage, well-ventilated area is crucial. The storage space should be protected from direct sunlight and rain. Ensure the floor is level and clean.
Special Handling: Receptacles are considered fragile. All items require protective padding – bubble wrap, foam padding, or cardboard corner protectors – before storage. Items with delicate surfaces should be wrapped individually.
Stacking/Shelving: Pallet storage is recommended, utilizing 48" high pallets. Shelving units with adjustable shelves are an option, but maximum shelf height should be 8 feet. Stacking should not exceed 3 pallets high for stability.
Access Requirements: Loading dock with a 12ft x 10ft bay door is required for easy access. Door width must be a minimum of 9 feet. A clear clearance space of 8 feet is needed adjacent to the loading dock for forklift maneuvering. Consider a single dock door for efficient loading and unloading.
