    Space Requirements

    • Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 300 square feet, ideally 20ft x 15ft, with a height clearance of 12 feet. A secondary area of 100 sq ft (10ft x 10ft) is recommended for overflow.

    • Storage Conditions: Dry storage space is required. The area must be well-ventilated to prevent dust accumulation. The floor should be level and clean. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.

    • Special Handling: All furniture components should be protected with adequate padding – bubble wrap, foam, or cardboard – to prevent scratches and damage during handling. Fragile components, such as glass or delicate moldings, must have extra padding. Consider utilizing corner protectors.

    • Stacking/Shelving: Items can be stored using pallet racking (48” high), shelving units (adjustable shelves, 48” high), or stacked directly on the floor using pallets. Maximum stacking height should be limited to 4 levels for stability.

    • Access Requirements: A loading dock with a minimum width of 12 feet and a door opening of 10 feet is necessary. A clearance space of 8 feet around the loading dock is required for forklift maneuverability. The door should have a clear opening of at least 9 feet. Ensure adequate aisle space between storage locations for equipment access.
