Storage Size/Dimensions: Minimum 150 square feet, with a floor area of 12ft x 12.5ft. Height clearance: 12 feet is recommended.
Storage Conditions: The storage area should be a dry, well-ventilated space. Adequate airflow is crucial to prevent dust accumulation and maintain the quality of the mini blinds. The floor should be level and easily cleanable.
Special Handling: Mini blinds are inherently fragile. Each unit should be individually wrapped in protective padding (bubble wrap or cardboard) to prevent scratches and damage during handling. Palletized units require extra padding on the top layer.
Stacking/Shelving: Items can be stored on sturdy, adjustable shelving units, spaced 18 inches apart. Stacking is permissible, but a maximum of three tiers is advised to prevent excessive weight on lower levels. Pallet storage (48” x 40” pallets) is an option, but units should be secured to prevent shifting.
Access Requirements: A standard 12ft wide loading dock is required for truck access. The dock door should be at least 10ft wide with a minimum clearance of 8ft for truck maneuvering. Forklift access is essential for moving pallets and shelving. Ensure adequate aisle space of 8ft for forklift operation.
