    • Special Handling: Instruments are considered fragile. All items require individual padding with bubble wrap and cardboard. Heavy instruments necessitate additional bracing or support. Instruments with delicate finishes should be stored in protective foam inserts.
    • Stacking/Shelving: Utilize adjustable shelving units with a maximum shelf height of 4 feet. Pallet storage is permissible for larger instruments, but stacking height should not exceed 3 pallets. Ensure shelving is sturdy and can support the weight of the instruments.
    • Access Requirements: Loading dock with a minimum width of 12 feet and a door opening of 10 feet. A clear aisle space of 8 feet is needed for forklift access. A minimum of 3 feet of clearance space around each item is required for handling and movement. Consider a single loading bay door for efficient access.
    • Inventory Management: Implement a system for tracking instrument location and ensuring easy retrieval.
    • Material Storage: Designated area for storage of padding materials and protective covers.
